Billy Joel will return to the UK for the first time in seven years to perform at the Manchester Arena - only one of two arena dates on his entire tour. Having sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, Billy Joel is one of the most popular and well-respected entertainers in the world. In his career his has achieved 33 top 40 hits in the US charts, all of which he wrote himself. Some of these hits include It's Still Rock and Roll To Me, Tell Her About It, We Didn't Start the Fire and UK number one Uptown Girl.The six-time Grammy Award Winner has also earned numerous awards and honours including induction into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, The Songwriters Hall of Fame, The Tony Award, The Billboard Century Award, and the RIAA Diamond Award. Recently, the legendary composer was honoured by Steinway & Sons with a painted portrait that hangs in Steinway Hall in New York City, the first non-classical pianist to be immortalized in the collection. As a humanitarian, Billy Joel was honoured as the MusiCares Person of the Year and has launched an educational initiative providing endowments and musical scholarships to a variety of universities and music schools

 | Leonard Cohen
With a career spanning six decades and sell out shows around the world, the writer, poet, troubadour and hugely influential Leonard Cohen returns to Manchester Arena this summer. Since returning to the Manchester Arena stage in 2008 after a 15-year hiatus, Cohen has lost nothing in his years off the road and his shows have quickly been recognised as musical history. A celebrated and much lauded singer songwriter, he first emerged as a major and influential talent in the early 60's. Albums like Songs Of Leonard Cohen (1967), Songs Of Love And Hate (1970) and I'm Your Man (1990), right up to 1992's The Future, 2001's Ten New Songs and 2004's Dear Heather are rightly considered classics.
His songs, most famously Hallelujah, have been covered by U2, REM, Sting, Nick Cave, Rufus Wainwright, Jeff Buckley and Johnny Cash amongst others. It is estimated that his songbook has been covered over 1,330 times by other recording artists.

Jayne Torvill & Christopher Dean will bring the last ever Dancing On Ice tour to the UK next year, starting in Manchester on Friday 28, Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 March. Speaking ahead of their last ever Manchester Arena shows, Jayne and Chris said: "Next year will be the 30th anniversary of Bolero and our Olympic Gold medal in Sarajevo, so for us, it seemed a fitting time to say goodbye to Dancing on Ice. Andre Rieu
Following the runaway success of his UK tour in December 2012, the violin master is returning to the UK with a brand new show. This time he will be performing at the brand new Leeds Arena, where its 'fan' shaped seating format will be ideal for this show.The upcoming dates will be part of Rieu's international ‘And The Waltz Goes On Tour’, named after his successful album for which he collaborated with Sir Anthony Hopkins. Rieu already tweeted in December that he absolutely loved his 2012 UK tour. ‘Just back home. I absolutely loved the UK tour. Californian rock band Avenged Sevenfold will make their Manchester Arena debut headline show this November as one of only three UK dates, with support from Five Finger Death Punch and Device. The Orange County band's Manchester show will be A7X's first UK live show since their epic main stage performance at 2011's Download Festival. Avenged Sevenfold's fifth studio album, 2011's Nightmare, earned the band their highest ever debut on the Billboard album chart when it took the No 1 spot and spawned the hit singles Nightmare, So Far Away and Welcome To The Family. In addition to tracks from Sounding The Seventh Trumpet, Waking The Fallen, City Of Evil, Avenged Sevenfold and Nightmare, A7X will also be performing songs from their as-yet-untitled sixth studio album.
