Shakira
Hot on the heels of her captivating Glastonbury and World Cup performances, Shakira has announced she will make her M.E.N Arena debut this Christmas. Performing at the Manchester venue for the first time ever, the South American singer-songwriter will be showcasing tracks from her collection of smash hits including She Wolf, Waka Waka, Hips Don't Lie and 2001's breakthrough single Whenever, Wherever. One of the most exciting and successful female artists in recent history - with over 200 global award nominations and more than 50 million albums sold worldwide - Shakira is also the founder and President of the Barefoot Foundation (Pies Descalzos), a founding member of the ALAS Foundation and an ambassador for 1GOAL and UNICEF.

Roger Waters
Roger Waters, the creative genius behind musical pioneers Pink Floyd, is set to bring his groundbreaking masterpiece, The Wall, to the M.E.N Arena next spring. Celebrating the seminal album's 30th anniversary, the 2011 concerts will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans to witness a full band performing The Wall in its entirety, with a specially designed state-of-the-art stage show designed by album illustrator Gerald Scarfe. Boasting Pink Floyd classics including Comfortably Numb, Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2, Mother, Run Like Hell and Young Lust, The Wall remains one of the top five best-selling albums of all time. The show starts with the wall broken down and throughout the first half bricks are built. The second half is played with the wall completely built. Roger Waters is developing dynamic new video graphics and visual images to illustrate the story and the songs, using an 8,000 sq ft wall as a huge screen. The show features all the Roger Waters scale grandeur and special effects such as original Gerald Scarfe imagery, crashing aeroplane, quadraphonic sound, pyrotechnics, spot pods, gigantic inflatable puppets, projection, video mapping and many elaborate effects.

Tim Minchin
Comedy rock superstar Tim Minchin will make his M.E.N Arena debut this Christmas. After Jason Manford and John Bishop announced their M.E.N Arena debuts earlier this year, the Never Mind The Buzzcocks star will play the Manchester venue for the first time as part of his brand new UK tour - complete with a 55 piece orchestra! The Australian comedian, musician and actor has recorded two BBC Radio 2 specials - Tim Minchin & Friends and Tim Minchin's Loving & Peaceful Yuletide Half Hour - as well as appearing in the TV shows Comedy Shuffle, The World Stands Up and Comedy Cuts. Minchin has also released three live comedy albums - Dark Side, So Rock and last year's Ready For This? - as well as a debut DVD, So Live, recorded at the Sydney Opera House in 2007.

Linkin Park
Nu-metal rap-rockers Linkin Park will perform their first UK show of this year at Manchester's M.E.N Arena. The Californian six-piece return to the Arena for the first time since January 2008 to perform tracks from their rap-rock back catalogue including Numb, Somewhere I Belong and the top ten hit single What I've Done. Formed in 1996, Linkin Park have sold over 50 million records worldwide since their 2000 debut Hybrid Theory. 2003's follow up, Meteora, continued the band's success and was crowned the third best selling album in the States in 2003.
Known for their unique collaborations, the group teamed up with M.E.N Arena favourite Jay-Z in 2004 for the critically acclaimed mash-up album Collision Course. The band's next album, 2007's Minutes To Midnight, topped charts throughout the world and featured the explosive hits Shadow Of The Day, Bleed It Out and What I've Done. Linkin Park is Chester Bennington (vocals), Rob Bourdon (drums), Brad Delson (guitar), Joe Hahn (DJ), Dave "Phoenix" Farrell (bass), and Mike Shinoda (vocals).

Sting
Sting has announced he will return to Manchester's M.E.N Arena this autumn to showcase tracks from his soon-to-be-released album Symphonicities. Accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Sting will return to the Arena for the first time since 2008's sold-out reunion shows with The Police. Fan favourites from The Police songbook - including Roxanne, Every Breath You Take and Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic - will be performed alongside hits from Sting's award-winning solo career including Englishman In New York, Fields Of Gold and If I Ever Lose My Faith In You. Drawing from numerous multi-platinum albums and countless number one songs, Sting's back catalogue will be reinterpreted with brand new orchestrations arranged and conducted by Maestro Steven Mercurio who has previously worked with Pavarotti and Bocelli.

Plan B
Plan B has announced a nationwide UK tour this autumn. The rapper-turned-singer, who scored a UK Number One album with 'The Defamation Of Strickland Banks' will hit the road starting on October 6 in Nottingham and arriving at the Manchester Academy on Friday 15th October. East Londoner Ben Drew could well be the most exciting MC this city has produced. He's as likely to be playing indie venues or folk clubs as he is hip hop jams or raves or R&B gigs. He can spit rhymes and hold his own against any MC or rapper, but can then suddenly switch into a delicate, sweet white soul croon that would shame any boyband member. He accompanies himself on an acoustic guitar, playing in a curiously folksy, fingerpicking style. But the killer punch is the lyrics - bleak, cinematic, X-rated urban poetry laced with a mordant wit and a strong dose of pathos.

Manchester legends James will return to the M.E.N Arena this December to perform tracks from their latest studio album The Night Before. The Madchester pioneers return to their hometown arena for the first time since 2007's sold-out show and Tim Booth, Jim Glennie and Larry Gott's appearance at last December's Versus Cancer charity concert.With a career that includes ten studio albums and 20 UK Top 40 singles - including Sit Down, She's A Star, Laid and Come Home - The Night Before is the first of two mini albums from James, containing all brand new studio material from the Manchester seven-piece.
